Emerging From The (literal & figurative) Cave

We’re back!

Sorry that took so long. Clearly, adjusting to life with a toddler during a pandemic required more of my energy than I thought it would.

I didn’t plan to stop writing initially, but I did welcome the pause with open arms when I realised it’d be a relatively long one.

I do, however, feel that the absence was important. For the past few months there has been so much content flooding every single one of my social feeds that each time I got the idea for a post, I scribbled it down in a journal and agreed that it wasn’t the time. More pressing things required attention.

More pressing things STILL require attention. But I’ve arrived to a point where I’m ready to emerge from the proverbial cave I’ve been in.

What an insane few months it has been. We hibernated, watched and waited together.

The world got kinder, for a moment. And then got very ugly.

The point of this post is not to delve into the current affairs shaking the world right now – I’m still learning about them myself. But I am writing this to let you know that the silence from our end has been broken!

We’re slowly seeing life go back to normal, and there are lots of things I’m excited to write about. First up I’ll be sharing about my postpartum recovery in terms of my fitness and nutrition – something that I’ve been meaning to write about for a long time and that, over a year and half later, is STILL keeping me sane.

Whilst it does feel like I’m pressing the un-pause button, life was most definitely NOT on pause. Kate’s older, chattier and hilariously entertaining. Naps still rule all though. #sleepqueen

We’ll catch you soon! (Oh and if you don’t yet…follow along on Instagram @lisaze & @katescradle!)
